Today we get to see Deschutes The Abyss 2016 Release. This beer remains an imperial stout brewed with black strap molasses and licorice. The Reserve Series beer is dry-spiced with cherry bark and vanilla beans and then 21% is aged in Bourbon barrels, 21% aged in oak wine barrels and 8% aged in new Oregon oak barrels. This is the 22oz bottle (keg packaging below) and the 2016 release will hit 11%-AbV. According to the packaging this beer will be bottled on 9/12/16 so stay tuned for more release info.
