Introducing Braxton Beta

imageFrom Braxton:

We spend a lot of time sharing our origin story — the Garage on Braxton Drive — it’s where the dream came to life. It’s in that Garage that my brother spent countless hours innovating on new homebrew recipes. That’s what makes this industry so great, the fact that a brewer can generate a brand new idea and move into production in very little time. There aren’t countless meetings about how to focus group and what specific flavor profiles need to be in the next release. From idea to final product you’re often times just 16 or so days away.

It’s keeping this innovation in mind that I couldn’t be more excited to share the details on our Beta program. When I was in software, we were always hearing developers get excited about the new Beta. Indeed it’s the first chance for the public to try what we’ve been working so hard on. This project and series of beers is for the creative side in you. We may never brew them again, or you may like one the best and it could eventually move into production. The options are truly limitless.

Our brewing team is fired up about this concept and when they’re fired up, we all win! I’m confident that each beer you have will be different. Our brewers get free reign on how these beers turn out and what processes, ingredients, and other aspects they use. It’s those very brewers that continue to impress me every single day. They asked what I thought we needed the most of and instantly I thought about all of you. The one thing you guys ask me every time I’m at an event, or you see me in the taproom is “Why don’t you have more IPA’s?”

So with that, I couldn’t be more excited to launch Beta 1.0 – IPA. This IPA is a beautiful citrus beer coming in at 7% ABV and featuring Citra, Mosaic, and Equinox hops. Our brewers also tried a new technique, single infusion mashing, that has not been done at Braxton before. The final product is a an amazing citrus IPA that’s perfect for the summer!

The best part about the program is that like all other Beta programs, we want your feedback. When you try Beta use hashtag #BraxtonBeta and let us know what you think!

We’ll be launching our Beta alongside Trophy Dr. Rudi on Friday. Even better, Food Truck Brigade will be here. It’s going to be a great night for hop heads at Braxton! Come lift one to life with us.
