GREENSBORO, NC – This year, Natty Greene's Brewing Co. will release their award winning American Sour Ale for the 12th year in a row. Natty Greene's American Sour has won countless awards, the most recent being a Gold medal at the Carolina Championship of Beers, making it a highly desired sour across the Southeast.

Natty Greene's has partnered up with local artist, Ryan Sharpe, to design their 2016 sour labels, including American Sour 2016. Ryan Sharpe is the founder and artistic expertise behind Greensboro based company,
Dead Weight Fly

"We originally partnered up with Dead Weight Fly for our monthly event,
Beer Guys + Fly Ties. Ryan is an incredibly talented artist with a unique sense of how the viewer's eye travels and takes in different shapes and colors in an image. His unique artistic abilities, along with our existing partnership, made Ryan the perfect fit for the artist behind our new sour labels," remarked Natty Greene's Marketing Manager, Carlee Dempsey.

"American Sour is so much more than a beer. It's the result of 18+ months of nurturing and aging. It's true mix of art and science that our Brewmaster and founder of Natty Greene's Sour Program, Scott Christofell, has perfected," said co-founder of Natty Greene's Kayne Fisher. "It's only appropriate that it's label matches the beer's history and flavor."

Look out for American Sour on tap and in bottle shops near you this summer! Like the other sours in Natty Greene's line-up, American Sour is a limited release bottled ale. Coming later this year are Natty Greene's Hitchpost Gueuze Lambic, Wooden Ladder Kriek Lambic, and Clingstone Perzik Lambic.
