Budweiser Made In America Returns To Philadelphia This Labor Day Weekend

Slated for its fifth year in Philadelphia, the Budweiser Made in America Festival will once again attract thousands of visitors and festival-goers on Labor Day Weekend to help close out the most patriotic summer ever. Budweiser Made in America is the culmination of the brand’s summer-long celebration of patriotism, during which Budweiser will bring fans the best in music, food, sports and design. Back in May, Budweiser kicked off the summer in the most patriotic way possible: putting America in the hands of everyone with limited-edition packaging that replaced “Budweiser” with “America.” Following the America can launch, we’ll also be supporting the red, white and blue through a series of sponsorships and activations including:

  • Team Budweiser, a group of athletes competing for America in the Rio 2016 Olympics and Paralympic Games
  • The Copa America Centenario soccer tournament, which was played on U.S. social for the first time
  • Country music fans at festivals across the U.S. with the Budweiser Country Club

Over Labor Day Weekend, Budweiser Made in America Festival will encourage attendees to toast to the end of a patriotic summer with a Budweiser in hand. The Festival’s roster includes headliners Rihanna and Coldplay who will be joined by other artists including ColleGrove (2 Chainz & Lil Wayne), Jamie xx, Chance The Rapper, Martin Garrix, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Grimes, DJ Khaled and more.

Onsite activations at BMIA will include the second-annual Bud & Burgers competition finale, where a panel of celebrity judges will choose the best burger in America to pair with a Budweiser. Festival guests will get the final taste of the top burgers across the nation before the winner is announced by celebrity chef, David Chang, on Sunday September 4th.

The concert will benefit the United Ways in Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey and Berks County, PA. A primary goal of this music festival is to have a positive impact on the communities involved by investing to positively impact the education, income and health of the most vulnerable citizens in these regions. As a result of this year’s BMIA Festival, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey will invest $300,000 into initiatives that enhance cradle-to-career education that ensures all students graduate high school college- or various initiatives. The festival will also enable United Way of Berks County to invest an additional $100,000 in local programs and initiatives centered on early grade reading proficiency, as well as efforts targeting the focus areas of education, financial stability, health and safety net services. Each year, more than 100,000 Berks Countians receive help through over 50 funded United Way of Berks County programs, initiatives and grants.
