Here’s your very first look at the 2016 version of Avery The Beast Grand Cru Oak Aged Ale. This ale is brewed with dates, maple syrup and alfalfa honey as well as Magnum, Galena, Saaz, Hallertau, Tettnang and Hersbrucher hops. If that’s not enough, The Beast also uses Muscovado sugar, turbinado sugar and dark Belgian candy sugar as well as oak chips and “a hellion of a Belgian yeast strain.” This version hits 14.6%-AbV and for 2016, this beer will be packaged in 12oz bottles. Look for an Aug release for this beer (Batch No 14) and it will be limited to 750 cases.
