Indeed Brewing Looks Back On 2015 Highlights

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, DECEMBER 29, 2015: As the 2015 calendar comes to a close, Indeed Brewing Company, established in 2012, reflects on its achievements and aspirations for the upcoming year. The company prepares for 2016 with the arrival and installation of a new 30-foot tall, 210-barrel fermenter, which will be craned in through the roof of the building this Wednesday, December 30th, in what is sure to be a photo- and video-worthy event.*

Expanding the brewery

Indeed sold just over 11,000 barrels in 2015 (or the equivalent of more than 152,000 cases of beer), an increase of 42% over last year. More than 80% of that beer was sold in the Twin Cities. Growth was slightly slower than expected as the company saw increasingly fierce competition in bars and restaurants, and more consumer choice as the number of tap handles at bars continues to increase. Indeed also began aging more than 18,000 gallons of beer in its barrel-aging program, including Rum King and Wooden Soul.

Growing the team

With growth comes the opportunity to invest in talented individuals from packaging to sales to administration to taproom front of house. Indeed Brewing Company added six new employees in 2015, bringing the company total to 48.

Investing in the community

As the first brewery to open a taproom in Northeast Minneapolis, Indeed Brewing Company is proud to be a part of a booming craft beer community which now includes eight taprooms in Northeast's unofficial "Brewer's District." As part of its commitment to its community, the company launched Indeed We Can in 2014, a charitable giving program that puts the power of doing good directly into the hands of its employees. Through Indeed We Can, Indeed Brewing Company donated more than $100,000 to employee-chosen Minnesota non-profits in 2015.

Becoming leaders in the field

In recognition of his dedication to the organization and his position as an emerging leader in the craft brewing industry, Indeed Brewing Company Director of Operations Tom Whisenand was named president of the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild for 2016 and looks forward to taking up his post in the new year.

*The new 210-barrel tank will be craned in on 12/30, weather permitting. Please contact Tom Whisenand for more information and to schedule any media coverage.
