Jason and Jim Ebel, founders of Two Brothers Brewing Company, today announced the launch of Arizona Beer and Cider Company. The distribution company will bring craft beers and ciders to the Phoenix and Scottsdale markets, with future expansion planned to serve additional areas across Arizona.

“With Arizona Beer and Cider Company we will stay in the Valley for the remainder of the year, with plans to expand to Tucson at the beginning of next year and Flagstaff by mid-2015,” said Jason Ebel. “We have a long and successful history of distributing in the Chicago area and look forward to extending our success to Arizona.”

The brothers founded Windy City Distribution in 1999 which grew to be the largest craft beer distributor in the Chicago market before its sale in 2012. Windy City Distribution previously represented 40 suppliers of craft beer, artisan imports and hand crafted cider throughout the eight-county Chicagoland area.

“We plan to use the knowledge we gained from our previous distribution company in Chicago to expand in Arizona in an impactful way,” said Ebel. “We are entering the market at a time when there is serious consumer taste for a variety of craft beer products, and we look forward to partnering with more like-minded brands in the future.”

Arizona Beer and Cider Company will initially distribute Two Brothers Brewing Company and Smuttynose Brewing Company, with additional brands to come in the future. In addition to beer, cider will be an important part of the distribution company’s portfolio. The Ebels intend to represent high quality, smaller cider mills and craft beer brands.
