image
Here’s a new beer coming to bottles that I can’t wait to try.  Here we have Brooklyn Brewery “K” Is For Kriek and it is an ale brewed with honey, dark candi syrup & orange peel that is aged in Bourbon barrels on whole cherries.  The base beer for this release is Brooklyn dark abbey ale and in the end they add 20 pounds of dried whole Michigan Montmorency cherries and they age in Bourbon barrels for 6 months and then they bottle condition with Champagne and Brettanomyces yeast for six months.  This beer will be packaged in 750ml bottles and it will come in big at 10.1% ABV.
