Saucony Creek Brewing Company Debuts Much-Anticipated 12 oz. Bottles Captain Pumpkin’s Maple Mistress & Stonefly IPA Have Consumers Staying Bottoms Up

KUTZTOWN, PA: August 20, 2013 — Saucony Creek Brewing Company was hatched into the craft beer world rooted within the philosophy that a great beer has brought people together since the beginning of civilization. And while the story behind one of Saucony Creek’s first 12 oz. bottles, Captain Pumpkin’s Maple Mistress, is tainted slightly with human betrayal, the other bottle, a Stonefly IPA, blossoms from an ecofriendly

collaboration with Schuylkill Action Network. At the end of the day both will succeed in uniting craft beer enthusiasts, farmers, local businesses and friends, sip by sip.

Brewing from a 15 barrel brewhouse into 30 barrel fermentation tanks,
Saucony Creek packages ⅙ barrel kegs, ½ barrel kegs and, most recently, 12 oz. bottles. The initial production is currently being snatched up at Shangy's Wholesale (40 E. Main Street, Emmaus, PA), and at various distributors throughout eastern Pennsylvania.

A case of each is always the recommended purchase. However, if there’s a need to choose, keep in mind the Stonefly IPA is an American style India Pale Ale weighing in at 6.8% ABV. It packs hints of citrus and spice, with floral aromas rounded out by a malty backbone. Captain Pumpkin’s Maple Mistress, with 9.5% ABV, is a ferocious Imperial Pumpkin Ale brewed with pirate rum spices.

The touch of fall flavors develop from butternut squash and natural maple syrup.
