Good news for Funkwerks from the Coloradoan:
Just in time for the expected increase in demand for Funkwerks’ beers, the brewery received three new tanks on Monday — a 30-barrel fermenter, 30-barrel brite tank and 15-barrel brite tank. Schuck hopes to have beer brewing in them by today, which will up Funkwerks’ production to about 1,000 barrels this year.
Next year, Schuck expects to brew about 1,500 barrels, at which point Funkwerks will need to expand due to limitations with bottles and keg storage. Rather than relocate, Schuck said his brewery will work with the space it has, perhaps blowing out a wall to expand at the current location.
