Surly SYX American Strong Ale

31 March 2012

imageNews from Surly on a new beer to be named SYX and the strongest beer they’ve ever brewed:

Get Ready For SYX

It's that time of year when our head brewer Todd Haug concocts another monumental annual brew. Last year we gave you FIVE, a sour Brett beer aged in red wine barrels. This year we're making the strongest brew we've ever made. SYX is an American Strong Ale aged on six different types of wood species with an ABV between 14 and 15 percent. Right now SYX is quietly growling in the fermenters, but watch for updates on artwork, bottling and the launch of our most wicked anniversary beer yet.
