This is purely based on a tweet John put out earlier today saying that they “met with Scharffen Berger Chocolate guys Saturday. They schooled us on as much as our brains could hold! COMPLEX! beer soon...” I suspect we’ll be seeing either a Scratch or Splinter beer using Scharffen Bergen Chocolate in the future. For anyone unfamiliar with Scharffen Bergen, they are a chocolate manufacturer who’s goal it is to source the best cacao in the world and use an artisan chocolate making process to create the finest chocolate in the world using vintage European chocolate making equipment.
OK guys…it’s been too long. My vote is for a Troegs sweet chocolate oatmeal stout even though that sounds doubtful…probably more likely that we’ll see a barrel-aged Imperial Stout.
