mybeerbuzz - What's in My Belly?

This week's belly beer was a little tricky to find. Thanks to Charlie @ Plaza Beverage for making it happen. Last year we tasted the 1st release of this beer on tap at Stone Brewing in California. It was tasty then, and the 2009 (2nd release) is even better. Sierra Nevada has managed to make this beer even more drinkable and more enjoyable. My belly beer this week is Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Fresh Hop Harvest Ale. The lore of this beer is that SN worked out a way to buy fresh hops in Spring, a time of year when our hops are only a glimmer of hope (and hop) on the vine. Within a weeks time SN gets the fresh hops from New Zealand and brews this beer. Cheers to SN for another wonderfully interesting beer. Cheers & Me Likey !
