Now just look what some scoundrel did to our sample tray! You'll note most of our beverages are gone, BUT not all. This would be the point where we switched from "sampling" to drinking, however there were a few odd guys. While we loved most of their beers, we knew we were in trouble with their "Whiskey Sour" when the bartender described it as "really really odd." Knowing that this was a barrel-aged version of my favorite NL brew (Chocolate Dunkel), I though to myself how bad could a barrel-aged dunkel be? Well I had neglected one key word in the title....."sour." Words cannot describe a whiskey-barrel-aged-chocolate-dunkel that is also sour. Facial expressions certainly can, and it actually became our entertainment for the evening watching the faces and flinches on others as they sampled the Whiskey Sour. Needless to say the bartender was being kind and we could not even finish 4 ounces.
